Here you can get to know your new fellow students as well as a place that you will probably visit more often during your studies: The canteen :). We will go there in small groups, and you can have a say in deciding exactly where we go – so take a look at what’s on offer beforehand!

Get-to-know-you afternoon

Get to know your new colleagues by playing various group games. Because studying together is easier and much more fun.

Barbecue on the POT meadow

We’ll fire up the barbecue for you – and you can end your first ESE day relaxing on our lawn. There will be all kinds of delicious vegetarian, vegan and meaty dishes from the grill at reasonable prices, and drinks will of course also be available.

To get an insight into the research of your new faculty, some of our laboratories will open their doors to you:

City rallye

Get to know Dresden on a relaxed city rally through Dresden’s old town. Solve tasks with your team and make your first contact with our student associations.

Student Club Tour

Dresden is the capital of student clubs! These are run by students for students on a voluntary basis and offer a student-friendly price level as well as a good time. There are 12 of them in Dresden, and we’d like to get to know some of them with you. (Free drinks beckon!)

Campus rallye

After getting to know Dresden yesterday, today you will explore the TU campus and get to know the most important places.

We will end the day again on the POT meadow with food, drink and good conversation.

Official matriculation ceremony of the faculty

Now it’s getting serious: the dean and the deans of studies would like to welcome you to our faculty and give you their advice. Your first lecture, so to speak!

In small groups, we explore Neustadt – Dresden’s nightlife and party district.

Bike tour

What better way to explore Dresden than on a relaxed bike tour? And you can get to know your new fellow students while you’re at it. So get on your bike and come along!
